The gulf between liberty, and progressive statists’ insistence upon elitist oligarchy with privileges for themselves and subservience for all others, is unbridgeable. To establish a stable polity and maintain current boundaries one or the other set of principles will have to predominate. Restoration is unlikely given the divide and more than likely kicks the can down the road just a few more feet. Rationalization is surrender and would entirely negate liberty. Those who would counsel “surrender” personify existential threat. Exit, new boundaries, and reconstitution is the only way forward consistent with liberty, that is, freedom plus morality grounded in reverence for life, and the only way forward wherein peaceful reformation is possible, if not likely.

I am a mapmaker

Just as the US has no name (great point!), a federation of red states should not either. States have names. Centralization of power is not inevitable if each state has its own military forces so that can secede whenever the central government exceeds its mandate.

It is not a typo that the original descriptions read "united States are" versus UNITED STATES is in the new corporate empire.
